EMPOWERMENT

Q1: Why is empowerment important? #DareToBe
A1. Empowerment is important as it is the embodiment of permission #DareToBe

Q2: I feel most empowered when ______________. #DareToBe
A2. I feel most empowered when I act on what on what I truly believe #DareToBe

Q3: Give an example of empowerment that you’ve witnessed and/or been a part of. #DareToBe
A3. As a member of the US Army, what we did and why we did I am proud and honored to have been part of that #DareToBe

Q4: What are some barriers to empowerment? #DareToBe
A4. The lack of support from those that are supposed to be there to support you is a huge barrier #DareToBe

Q5: We all have struggles. What have you learned from your struggles that has made you a stronger person? #DareToBe
A5. I learned I cannot make everyone happy. I have to make only myself happy. I hold no power over others. I hold power over me #DareToBe

Q6: Empowered individuals do not ________________. #DareToBe
A6. Empowered individuals do not RETREAT. #DareToBe

Q7: When turning challenges into learning opportunities, what question could one ask him/herself? #DareToBe
A7. Is there anything more I can do? #DareToBe

A8. Agree. Because life is constantly changing and dynamic all you can is what you are at this moment. It may be different later. #DareToBe

Q9: What is holding you back from getting what you want? What are you going to do about it? #DareToBe
A9. Paul Simon said it best when he said “I want a photo opportunity. I want a shot at redemption.” It’s what we all need. #DareToBe
A9b. Not stepping into the light enough. We all have something to say. The light can be a good thing. I think I will step into it. #DareToBe

A10. doing everything that I can to empower others especially those I am responsible for (family members & staff) #DareToBe

FEAR

Q1: Define fear. #DareToBe
A1. Fear is the uncertainty of the moment #DareToBe

Q2: Name one fear that you believe holds people back. #DareToBe
A2. the fear of rejection #DareToBe

Q3: It’s normal to have fears. When do they actually become a problem? #DareToBe
A3. Fears become a problem when they interfere with living our daily lives #DareToBe

Q4: What can you ask yourself to determine if a fear is rational or irrational? #DareToBe
A4. Will it physically hurt you? #DareToBe

Q5: Give an example of an irrational fear you have/had. #DareToBe
A5. I am afraid of heights but I can repel off tall rock faces and sides of buildings with no problem #DareToBe

A6. Agree. We need to live with one foot on the gas pedal and the other giving a high five #DareToBe

A7. False bravado #DareToBe

Q8: Give a tip on how one can calm down when feeling fearful. #DareToBe
A8. Talk to someone about it. Works for me and it can work for you, as well. #DareToBe
