#88 – The Walking Leader Podcast NOW ONLINE!

Episode 88 of the Walking Leader Podcast is now online. In this episode, I talk about Rule #11 CORRECT ON THE SPOT from my book, The Walking Leader.

Correct On The Spot (Rule #11) is the one rule that all organizations will expect their current and future leaders to not ignore, sidestep, or overlook. When it comes to taking corrective action there is very little wiggle room for any leeway. It must be done, it has to be done, and entertain the idea of someone else doing it is should not be part of any leader’s skill-set. Every leader must be prepared to deal with situations that can be harmful to customers/clients, employees, equipment or property of the organization. They must do what they can to help prevent any such harm from occurring and that means taking CORRECTIVE ACTION ON THE SPOT.

David Guerra’s Walking Leader Podcast Episode 87 – NOW ONLINE

In this 19 minute podcast episode, host David Guerra talks about the 10th rule in his book the Walking Leader and talks about Leadership in the News.

Rule #10 of the Walking Leader is CATCH THEM IN THE ACT OF DOING SOMETHING GOOD. When walking the company floor, it behooves a Walking Leader to get out there and catch them in the act of doing good, exemplary work. It is not always just bad news.

In his LEADERSHIP IN THE NEWS segment, David talks about the passing of one the greatest military leaders in the modern era; Retired US Army Lieutenant General Hal Moore of WE WERE SOLDIERS ONCE…AND YOUNG fame. Hal Moore led the 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry of the 3rd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) in one of the first major battles of the Vietnam War. His dedication to his men both on and off the field of combat is the stuff of legends.

Podcast #84 is now online

In this latest episode, host DAVID GUERRA talks about the seventh rule found in his first book, “The Walking Leader“: SHARE WELL WITH OTHERS.

Share well with others is one of those golden rules that many of us learned growing up. It unfortunately has become a sign of weakness as we grew up, older, and not so wise. As an adult, it is perceived that if you share with others you are “tipping your hand” or giving others the tools and the means by which they can surpass you. Who wants to be done in by their own words?

However, all great leaders share one common skill: THEY SHARE WELL WITH OTHERS.

They recognize that to be the leader and remain the leader they have to ensure that they are giving and sharing all that they can. They do so with the intention of making the organization and its members better.

Making things better is one of the tenets of being a great leader.
