MAKE LEARN, KNOW, AND LIVE YOUR LIFE MANTRA (Day 99) by David Guerra

Day 99 of 100 Days of 100 Ways To Rule Your World

MAKE LEARN, KNOW, AND LIVE YOUR LIFE MANTRA

The Wikipedia definition of Mantra is “a sound, syllable, word, or group of words that is considered capable of “creating transformation” and that’s what we all want and need.

CREATE TRANSFORMATION

There are many catch phrases or a mantra that people live by. You’ve heard them: “Carpe Diem” or “Live Strong (R)” and many, many others.

So why not make your own mantra?

Make a mantra that is something that is defined by you as yours!

However, don’t make it so specific that it ONLY applies in certain circumstances in your life. Make it so that you can use it ALL THE TIME for the rest of your days.

In my case my mantra is: BE BETTER THAN YESTERDAY

Thank you,

LEARN TO BE FLEXIBLE (Day 98) by David Guerra

Day 98 of 100 Days of 100 Ways To Rule Your World

LEARN TO BE FLEXIBLE

How flexible are you?  In life we have to be flexible.  Not everything is going to go our way!  We live in a world where everybody is out to do things for themselves, for their family, for their friends, and then everyone else.  There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.

However, when you need something done for yourself and it involves other individuals or organizations things might not get done in the manner or order that you would like for them to get done.

This is where we have to learn to be flexible.  We have to learn to bend and weave so as not to feel that we’re not getting things done our way or that things are not moving as fast as we would like for them to move.

We must bend and weave and be flexible if for nothing else but to protect our sanity.

While ultimately we control our destiny we do not control the destiny of others.  They are on their own schedule!

Take a minute or two and think about how many times in the past week you were the cause of someone’s REACTION to something they did not want to hear? How many times did you have to make someone WAIT? Truthfully now, you might not think you’ve done it that many times but in actuality we do it more times than we care to admit.  We see nothing wrong with doing that to other people.  Oh, but when someone does it to us; STAND BACK!!!

Now learning to be flexible not only means learning to be flexible towards other people but being flexible when we expect others to abide by what we are offering.

Remember, a rubber band will always bend and weave in every direction because a rubber band is FLEXIBLE!!!

BE A RUBBER BAND!!!!

Thank you,
David Guerra

DO YOU DO WHAT YOU LOVE? (Day 97) by David Guerra

Day 97 of 100 Days of 100 Ways To Rule Your World

DO YOU DO WHAT YOU LOVE?

If you’re not, shouldn’t you be doing what you love?

By now you should know that there’s a huge difference between making a life and making a living. Look at yourself at this moment, what are you doing?  Are you making a living or making a life?  Like most of us you’re probably making a living and in this current economy even making a living is questionable!

Obviously, in good times and in bad economic times it takes money to do what you want to do.  Therefore, we are PROGRAMMED to work UNTIL we are 65 and retire so that we can do all we’ve always wanted to do.

How do we un-program ourselves from this way of thinking and believing?

It’s not easy but it CAN be done.  Taking small steps at first and then increasing your stride is the only way that I know of to change that belief.

Obviously, doing what you love 100% of the time, at this moment, is not feasible.  Right now, doing what you love 100% won’t put food on the table.

That’s why you have to start by taking small steps. By knowing what you would love to do for the rest of your life and figuring out at what point can you be paid 100% of the time then you can start increasing the workload from 1% to 50% to 100%.

Before you know it, you will be doing what you love and you will have plenty of time before you get to 65 when everybody else is starting to do it.

Thank you,
David Guerra
