STOP! COLLABORATE (and LISTEN)! (Day 94) by David Guerra

Day 94 of 100 Days of 100 Ways To Rule Your World

STOP! COLLABORATE (and LISTEN)!

You’ve heard the song…  I’ve heard the song … The whole world has heard the song…

But there is some truth to it; well at least the Collaborate part of the song.

Collaborate!

This means that you should not be afraid to ask for help.

This also means you should not be afraid to work with others, either intentionally or accidentally. Of course, there will be things that you will want to do yourself.  You should do as much as you can yourself. However, when things get a little tough or the going gets rough there is absolutely nothing wrong with asking for help.

And by the same token, there is absolutely nothing wrong for you to give help when someone is asking for your assistance.

Remember, a house gets built twice as fast with two sets of hands. Problems get resolved faster when there is more than one individual working on it.

Thank you,
David Guerra

THINK SLOWLY & DELIBERATELY (Day 93) by David Guerra

Day 93 of 100 Days of 100 Ways To Rule Your World

THINK SLOWLY & DELIBERATELY

Moving in a world where 100mph is the norm we tend to get ahead of ourselves more often than not.

Sometimes we jump to conclusions without stopping to think of what comes out of our mouths or the repercussions that inevitably come with the nonsense that spews forth.

However, we can do something about that!

That’s right we can prevent nonsense from spewing forth!!!

Start taking the time to think about what you are about to say and deliberately put together a well thought out coherent response and you might just save yourself a little heartache.

Take the time to slow down, take a deep breath and save a relationship or two.

Thank you,
David Guerra

SEE THE WORLD THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD (Day 92) by David Guerra

Day 92 of 100 Days of 100 Ways To Rule Your World

SEE THE WORLD THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD

Ever see the world through the EYES OF A CHILD?

Many of us were kids once. Many of us still remember seeing the world as a wonderful and amazing place. I still remember the first time I saw the Washington, D.C. from the observation deck of the Washington Monument. I was all of 10 years old.

Then fast forward to my early 30s when I saw St. Louis from the observation deck of The Gateway Arch. I distinctly remember NOT having the same feeling. All I remember was the top of the Arch swaying. All the while thinking this thing is going to snap off and we are going to fall to our end. Luckily, it wasn’t the case.

The point I am trying to make is that as a child we get to see the world as something AWESOME! As adults, we see the world a little tainted, a little skewed. Seeing the world with EYES WIDE OPEN enjoyment inspires us, adults, to see the world through their eyes. To see a flock of birds heading south for the Winter and know now a snow day or two is heading our way. Only then can you re-learn to appreciate the SIMPLE THINGS in life. 🙂

Thank you,
