MEDIOCRITY

MEDIOCRITY – January 13, 2016

The issue is that everyone hates being called mediocre especially by those that are to blind to see the mediocrity in themselves. Constant evolution and making change happen is the only way I know to keep mediocrity at bay. Then when you think you’ve “made it” mediocrity is back at it again (nipping at your heels).

Do one thing. Do one thing at a time. Do one thing at a time and do it well. Stay Focused. However, when it comes to doing it (whatever it may be) do it with intent and purpose. Otherwise, why bother doing it? Always give it all you got.

Sure you can sing, sure you can dance, sure you can play guitar but are you motivated enough to take it beyond “just singing”, “just dancing” or “just playing guitar” or whatever it is you just do? The passion is what makes everyone just that much better. It is passion that moves those that want to beyond mediocrity.

It is easy to sit back and watch life go by. It is easier to sit there and criticize those that are making life happen. It is even easier to find people that like your criticisms and join you in criticizing others. That is classic mediocrity and that is so very wrong.

What is hard is being that one that refuses to sit back and watch the world go by. What is hard is getting up and doing something. What is hard and done for the right reasons is never wrong. Doing it for the right reasons is a surefire way to kill mediocrity and that’s a good thing.

Only you can create your fate or seal your doom. How you deal with mediocrity is the vehicle and YOU are the driver.

The only driver because you drive alone. If someone else is doing the driving you are already mediocre.
