SELF-LEADERSHIP & SOFT SKILLS – INTRODUCTION
In episode 230, David introduces his new podcast initiative for 2022. While still focusing on the individual’s self-development when it comes to personal or self-leadership, David takes a deeper dive into the highly coveted and sought after soft skills.
As a current and future leader, you have no choice but to acquire, learn, and work with a wide variety of soft skills. The wide variety refers to the “cluster of productive personality traits that characterize one’s relationships in a social environment. These skills can include social graces, communication abilities, language skills, personal habits, cognitive or emotional empathy, time management, teamwork and leadership traits. A definition based on review literature explains soft skills as an umbrella term for skills under three key functional elements: people skills, social skills, and personal career attributes.”
This year we are going to tackle one soft skill at a time, one episode at a time. New for 2022, we are going to school with the Walking Leader podcast in that it will not only be voice/audio based but incorporating other content (audio, video, downloadable, etc.) on my website.
So, buckle up because it is going to be a great ride.
While on your journey do not forget to CREATE WIN-WIN situations in all that you do. Start Strong! Stay Strong! Finish Strong! Be Strong!
And as always, I remind you to GO BEYOND THE GRIND & GO BEYOND THE HUSTLE BECAUSE THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO BE THE WALKING LEADER AND A LEADER THAT IS GREAT TO FOLLOW.
