The old saying that goes “If you are the smartest person in the room, then you are in the wrong room,” is no longer the way things are done. Now, leaders have to recognize and understand that while they may be the smartest person in their niche, there are other niches out there. There are other smart people in their niche, get to know them. Get to understand them and what within their niche they bring to the conversation and what you can learn from them.
