INSPIRATION (I)
Inspiration is defined by Oxford Languages (a.k.a. the Internet dictionary) as “the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative.” Ask yourself, without inspiration, what do you have? You have what is known as “going through the motions.” No one ever became a great leader by just going through the motions. For Pete’s Sake, no one ever became a mediocre manager by just going through the motions. Inspiration is what should drive you on today, tomorrow and all the tomorrows to come. Inspiration in what you see and feel. Inspiration that you need and most of all inspiration that you believe. The belief that all you are doing will take you some place. The belief that no matter what it is, your trust in the process and the journey will get you there. Get you there no matter how long it takes.
The only ones that succeed by being uninspired are those that somehow manage to escape prison time and/or the emergency room. However, even those individuals are very few and very far between and are living on very borrowed time. See, their kind of success is very short lived. No one really needs that kind of inspiration.
The only inspiration anyone truly needs is the kind that will get you from Point A to Point B. Remember, no detours to the detention center and no visits to the ER are allowed. Remember, while doing the kind of actions and activities that may seem like shortcuts to success, they are not. Those “shortcuts” are nothing more than time wasters or as many have call them “energy vampires” as they suck the life out of you when you realize that was no shortcut at all.
Any inspiration you have should be focused not on how fast you can run the race but instead should focus on knowing that the race will take exactly as long as it needs to take and not one step closer or minute longer. Find your inspiration, be inspired, and stay inspired.
