Felix Durango is just your everyday run of the mill Private Detective. A veteran of the march across Fortress Europe with a little difficulty letting go of the past, mostly his liquid past. His propensity for Russian vodka helps him deal with the present. However, his faults are not what define Felix Durango. His dedication and commitment to his job is what defines him, to a fault.
In “The Case of The Curvaceous Missis”, an old flame puts Felix Durango between his freedom and his life. Yet, a sudden twist of events will change Felix even after ignoring several red flags (as he usually does). However, Durango will continue to ignore red flags, especially if it gets him what he wants or in some rare cases what he needs. The femme fatale in this story serves as not only the catalyst that drives the story but ultimately becomes the antagonist and delivers a stunning blow to Felix, his way of life and livelihood. Fortunately, in the end, good does triumph over evil, and in Felix’s case, there are never too many red flags to ignore.
